BCAAS And EAAS

Do you need them? What are they? why they matter?

EAA's and BCAA's are what most people know as branched-chain amino acids. They seem similar, but there are important differences between them. One difference is in their structure. Whereas EAA's contain only one branch, BCAA's have two, hence the name branched-chain amino acids.

Consuming EAAs and BCAAs can help support muscle growth, repair, and increase exercise performance. Pair them with beverages like coconut water and to increase your electrolyte intake. Personally I mix mine with my pre-workout or post-workout shake. See below why they’re critical in weight training.

BCAAs

Branched-chain amino acids, play a role in defense, reducing soreness of muscles, which will protect and repair your muscles after training. We’ve all been through a heavy leg day where it's hard to walk for the next few days. Having BCAAs after a workout, as our NutraBio protein does, can help you recover quicker than without supplements at its critical stage of muscle growth.

EAAs

Essential amino acids, are essential because your body can’t make them on their own and must be obtained through diet or supplements. Every day, you break down and rebuild your muscles through processes like exercise, stretching, and even standing for long periods of time. This supplement plays offense, meaning it will help your body grow its muscle tissue. Therefore, we recommend taking it before, during, or after a workout. Because of its high-quality, again we recommend NutraBio products.

I recommend Nutra bio EAAs to all my clients to reduce the recovery time between our workout sessions. As an added bonus mix it with your pre-workout drink if you want a kick of energy before your workout. Other supplements like Amino Kick are also an excellent alternate pre-workout that has both caffeine and amino acids. These will keep you fueled up for your training and ultimately lead to better results from your fitness routine. Feel free to ask any of our coaches for more details.
